Villa Amelia
My review: I go since 4 years regulary once or twice a year for one or two weeks and discovered by cuban friends from Matanzas. Since I don't want not an other place when I come to Cuba. People are very nice and discetion high. The food is much better than hotel. I go back in october. I recommand this place to everybody who wants to hear it.

How was your room?: simple and good. I am not going to Cuba for lux. This is a nice room and good to sleep. There is also a big frigidator.
How was the food they offer?: I would like that Joel makes me the
whole year a breakfast like he does.

CASA AMELIA
My review: We stayed at Casa Villa Amelia 4 nights and it's a very good place to stay. Micky and Joel are great hosts. If you need someone to show you around, they can arrange to show you the best sites or even arrange any excursions. While staying at Casa Villa Amelia you are introduced to other Cubans and his family ; so, it's very good experience to know how people live in Cuba. We enjoyed our stay in Matanzas. Thank you so much for arranging return to Habana ; it was a great time with Micky and Joel and my dog friend Chakira. Casa specifics: Fantastic hosts, Comfortable Roomy and large bathroom, Children in the house and little nice dog.

VILLA AMELIA
My review: The room spacious, modern and comfortable, has an excellent view and location. The rest I needed, excellent service, they were always super friendly, great food, they have everything to be comfortable. VILLA AMELIA is our second home in Matanzas, kindness, joy, tranquility, adventure, coordialidad, cleaning things that are always obtained and are found here.
Is truly an honor to have met Joel and Micky. They are very attentive, loving and ready to give you good service. The truth for me have been an extraordinary vacation recommend them to anyone wanting to enjoy a true paradise with all amenities.

How was your room?: Our room was spacious with a beautiful view. Was always impeccable. The bathroom was the most beautiful and bath gives a special charm. It's a beautiful house, with an infrastructure well maintained. Joel y Micky wonderful, caring and willing to support you just have to go and enjoy.
Other comments: VILLA AMELIA was one of the richest and amazing experiences that I had to opportunity to live in Cuba! Joel y Micky are amazing people, and know just how to make their customers feel confortable, making us feel at home.
The house is beautiful, ventilated, spacious and clean, Room are confortable, spacious and also have air conditionning. One feel absolutely free to come and go at any time and with no problems.
It is worthy to stay at VILLA AMELIA. All the people there and specially the amazing and carer Joel y Micky will make sure he will do anything to assure your experience in Matanzas is unforgivable.

Casa Villa Amelia
My review: I have stayed at Casa Villa Amelia twice now and you cannot ask for a nicer place to stay. Micky and Joel are great hosts. If you need someone to show you around, they can arrange to show you the sites or even arrange scuba diving trips. If you want to go fishing, just ask Joel and he will be more than happy to take you. The food at Casa Villa Amelia is excellent--Joel is a great cook. While staying at Casa Villa Amelia you are introduced to other Cubans and get to experience their culture and everyone is so friendly. I enjoyed myself so much I cannot wait to go back. Thank you so much for a great time Micky and Joel.

Villa Amelia
My review: Joel and Micky are very friendly and accomodating. Both Micky and Joel have travelled abroad and, between the two of them, speak different languages - Spanish, English French and some German. Joel's experience in the Varadero hotel industry has made him an excellent chef and bartender. The meals were excellent. The casa is comfortable, safe, neat and clean. While we were there they took us to a national all-star baseball game in Matanzas, arranged a scuba diving trip to the Bay of Pigs, a visit to the crocodile farm and an antique steam train ride in the town of Australia. We were also able to accompany Joel on shopping trips to the local food markets. We had a lot fun and, thanks to Micky and Joel, enjoyed our visit to Cuba very much. It was a pleasure to experience the real Cuban! way of life - not just the tourist version.

How was your room?: The room is spacious, neat and clean with a private entrance and adjoining large private bathroom. It is comfortable with air conditioning, glass windows that open and look out over Matanzas Bay.
How was the food they offer?: The food is delicious and plentiful.
Other services they offer: They can make arrangements for tours or sightseeing. They are very accomodating regarding special requests.
Other comments: We had a wonderful vacation at Villa Amelia and will return as soon as we can.
